Belle Vue (Beautiful View) Barn is actually a barn conversion, and now forms a perfect holiday cottage in Huddersfield, dating back to the 1800’s it has been converted into a cosy holiday let, with lots of character retaining the original dry stone walls and beams. We have recently added an extension providing an additional bathroom, living area and bi-fold patio doors, see the photo gallery on the ‘Accommodation, About Belle Vue Barn’ tab!
Located near the small Yorkshire villages of Golcar, Bolster Moor and Scapegoat Hill and the Barn has stunning 180 degree countryside views overlooking Castle Hill, Holme Moss and beyond to Marsden which provides excellent access to the renowned walking available on the Pennine Way. The Pennine Way National Trail is a 268 mile (429 Km) walking route from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders.
Only a 25 minute drive away, Shibden Hall is a fantastic day out. Featured heavily in the BBC series Gentleman Jack it represents not only a popular historical day out but also has a topical connection. Highly recommended.
Our Huddersfield holiday let is within a mile of the 2015 Tour De France route and a perfect stop over for cyclists who want to cycle the route.
We now have Tesla and Universal (Type 2) electric car charging points available for a small charge to guests.
The barn provides self-catering accommodation for up to a family of four (children are welcome) or two couples and is open all year round. Please note when there are more than 3 guests the minimum stay is 4 nights.
