Short Drive away or a 20 minute walk away
Slaithwaite village hosts Vanilla Bean for lunch or just a coffee and cake. The Little Bridge wine bar serves excellent lunches or call in for a drink in the evening before visiting the Monsoon Indian restaurant for some delicious cuisine. There are a number of pubs some of which serve lunchtime food. There are also Indian, pizza and Chinese take away options and of course a number of fish & chip shops.
Go a little further away

Travel a couple of minutes further into the centre of Marsden where you will find Mozzarella’s, with a warm family friendly environment it serves excellent pizzas and pasta or just call for a drink at the bar or Crumbles Cafe shop.

There are two 18 hole golf courses in the locality, one in Outlane village, within walking distance of the barn. The nearby Leisure Centre in Slaithwaite has a swimming pool, badminton courts, and gym and runs many relaxation and fitness classes such as yoga and Pilates.

Colne Valley Museum is a local weaver’s cottage which hosts a variety of events including weaving, clog making and home baking.
The “Last of the Summer Wine” country in Holmfirth is just 5 miles away.
The area is rich in culture with theatres nearby in Bradford and Leeds. Locally the area hosts a number of music festivals including Marsden Jazz Festival and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.
Families will enjoy the Eureka Science Museum at Halifax, the newly restored Piece Hall also in Halifax, Bradford National Media Museum and Ice Skating Rink and Royal Armouries in Leeds.
